Learn to create more imaginative, realistic or convincing illustrations with concept and storyboard illustrator Toya Walker. The tools we develop in class will be applicable to a wide range of illustration styles and uses and will be rooted in practical and commercial applications such as concept art or book illustration.
Each week we'll focus on different approaches, from collage, observational drawing, model making and photography, linking what we're doing in the studio with the work of illustrators who work in those ways.
This course is ideal for illustrators looking for new inspiration for tackling tricky commissions. A range of mini projects will allow participants to apply the skills we gather to a choice of briefs, so that you can start to incorporate these new ways of working into your existing practice.
